The second Pecha Kucha Bryan event, sponsored by PK global, will be held Tuesday, March 10 at Grand Stafford Theater. The Institute for Applied Creativity and partners at AdventGX devised this as a way to learn about, celebrate, and connect with individuals in the creative community surrounding us.
Relax before Spring Break, on Tuesday, March 10, at the Grand Stafford Theater, 106 Main Street in Bryan. Doors are open 5-9pm, presenters from 7-8. The event is free, and there’s a suggested donation of $10.
Presenters will include painter Karen Hillier, photographer Glen Vigus, visualization professor Russell Reid, and Executive Director Richard Lester of the Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship, as well as a bonus presentation with the speaker to be announced.
PKB events will be held quarterly. Prospective presenters are encouraged to volunteer yourself, or nominate speakers from all walks of life. Know someone who can explain quantum physics in 20 slides? Cake decorator? Horse whisperer? The next (or the real) Andy Kaufman? Your friend’s mom who makes amazing quilts? Arrangements can be made to sell items at events to benefit creators.
