The inaugural Piney Woods Music & Arts Festival will be held Saturday April 25, from 3:00pm-midnight. The festival will take place on Historic Camp Street (3rd St) in Downtown Crockett. There will be live-music on outdoor stages, a BBQ cook-off with cash prizes, beer garden in Lightnin’ Hopkins Park, arts & crafts vendors on Camp Street, silent auctions & raffles prizes, with many kids activities like face-painting, train rides, art exhibitions and much more. A headliner concert and dance will take place that evening in Bear Hall.
Admission to the festival is free; concessions and BBQ plates available for purchase.
Schedule of music acts:
3:00pm- Trio Grande, a ZZ TOP tribute band on the Lightnin’ Hopkins Stage
4:30pm- The Sawmill Vagrants play on the 3rd Street Side Stage
5:30pm- Me & My Monkey, a Beatles tribute will play on the Lightnin’ Hopkins Stage
8:00pm- Concert and dance with Amber Digby & Midnight Flyer with special guest Mikki Daniel inside Bear Hall. Tickets for the concert & dance are $17.
Kids activities include:
Face-painting, Mister Squeeky and his balloon animals, kiddie train-rides
Art Demonstrations:
Johnny Villarreal and his stop-motion animation exhibition; Muralist Charles Ingram will be painting a mural

PWFAA’s Arts-in-Education programs bring the arts to the children of rural East Texas in nationally touring shows, artist residencies in the schools, the Houston County Youth Talent Showcase, Missoula Children’s Theatre & the Jim Jeffries Summer Arts Workshop.
