Sabi Boutique has moved their flagship store from Holleman to University Drive. They are putting a unique twist to their three-day grand opening that will take place Thursday, July 18, through Saturday, July 20, as they give back to a community that has given them so much and allowing others to assist in their efforts by shopping for a cause. The new location of the flagship store is now in the newly renovated space that once was Harley's at 520 University Drive East. This new location is much bigger and will provide more space in order for Sabi to be able to house everything under one blessed roof. With the blessings that have been received, it just seemed appropriate to incorporate a charitable component to the three-day grand opening event.
Thursday, July 18, will represent Kidz1st Fund. Kidz1st Fund provides education and awareness about Fanconi anemia, and raises money for Fanconi anemia research. This organization was created by Coach Jimbo Fisher and Candi Fisher when their youngest son, Ethan, was diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia, to provide critical research funding for the rare disease. Sabi Boutique is excited to announce that 12 percent of all maroon and white apparel will go back to Kidz1st Fund. Not only will you be able to shop for a cause, but you can also meet Kirsten Rayborn, director of Kidz1st Fund, from 5 to 7pm during the Champagne Happy Hour and learn more about Fanconi anemia as you shop.
Friday, July 19, is the official ribbon cutting of the new flagship store at 4pm followed by Saturday, July 20, as they highlight another organization for shop for a cause, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and families. Sabi Boutique will be giving Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas 15 percent of all sales that day. You will have the opportunity to meet some of the Board of Directors and learn more about the organization itself and how it impacts others.
This mother-daughter duo formed Sabi in 2011 out of love for each other. They love decorating, they love fashion, and they love sharing their finds with others. This business is based off faith and family, and their dedication to their mission has assisted them in their growth. Queen Sabi, also known as the mother, Janis, is a proud Texas A&M Aggie and was a church youth sponsor for more than 20 years. Sabi Sister Meredith is a proud graduate of Baylor University, class of 2003. She is an Emmy-award-winning broadcast journalist.
In 2011, they had a dream to start a family business that would give back, build confidence, inspire, and empower women. They chose the name Sabi (Săbi) because of Queen Sabi’s love for spicy wasabi peas! Just like the Japanese pea, they love to spice things up when accessorizing, decorating, and living life and they wish to inspire their Sabi Sisterhood to do the same! They opened their original flagship store in 2012 with hopes that those walking into Sabi will find their happy place – a retreat from the demands of everyday life. This dynamic duo and their team are there to laugh with you, celebrate with you, and pray for you. Their tagline says it all ... “Wear It With Confidence. Flaunt It With Class. Live It By Grace.”
Janis and Meredith place their faith first in everything they do and their commitment is to better the lives of others through their work. So it is not only just a shopping experience, it is feeling better about yourself than when you walked in. This is the blessing that has given them the opportunity to outgrow their original flagship store and expand into a bigger location.
The three-day Grand Opening takes place Thursday, July 18, through Saturday, July 20. Go to Sabi's Facebook Page for all the details on the Grand Opening events.
Meredith McAuliffe, co-owner for Sabi Boutique, said, “We are beyond blessed of what has been provided to us yet again, an opportunity to share Sabi with everyone in a larger location that has been renovated to meet the values and standards we hold so dear to us. As we closed the chapter of our original flagship location, we all agreed on one thing, the door never closes, it just continually opens for more bountiful blessings.”
