On Oct. 9, the Brazos Valley Food Bank presents Mingle for Meals – a new, dynamic fundraising event featuring eight fast-paced talks from local Brazos Valley leaders back-dropped with images. Talk topics cover eight local needs you can positively impact with your support.
Mingle for Meals takes all the best elements of a TED Talk or Ignite Event to fundamentally change how philanthropy happens. This event features no dinner or keynote speaker. Instead, hors d'oeuvres, drinks, education, and inspiration make this an evening to remember.
The charitable event kicks off at 5:30pm at the Hilton College Station. Fun lasts until 7:30pm. The talks featured in Mingle for Meals are guaranteed to inspire you. Donations that evening can be made from your mobile phone. Credit cards and checks are also accepted.
Impactful speakers featured during the event include:
- Marti Young – wife of Texas A&M University President, Michael Young
- Retired Brig. Gen. Joe E. Ramirez, Jr. – Commandant of Cadets, Texas A&M University
- David and Julia Gardner – owners of David Gardner Jewelers
- Gene and Kathy Joyce – owners of Audio Video
- The Cunningham Girls – founders of Books and A Blanket
- Chef Tai Lee – owner of Veritas
- Kristy Petty – owner of The Village Café
- Noelle Bellow and Kathleen Witte - KBTX-TV
- Frito and Katy – Candi 95 FM
