Steam Engine No. 844 was the last steam engine Union Pacific built. Experience Union Pacific’s 150th Birthday Party in Hearne on Sunday, April 15, beginning at 6:15pm. The Living Legend No. 844 steam engine will visit the station in celebration of the event. No. 844 is the last steam locomotive built for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1944.
