Blinn College will feature “Snowkus Pocus,” a tale told through dazzling cirque, breath-taking ballet, and incredible acrobatics, at the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center Sunday, Nov. 26, at 4pm.
“It is a dance and aerial gymnastics show that also tells a story,” said Kevin Patrick, Blinn College Technical Theatre Director. “It is visually stunning and family friendly.”
The story features young Brianna, played by Criena House, who is confined indoors due to an approaching blizzard. The fun begins when she is whisked away to an enchanted winter wonderland, where she encounters the North Wind, a man of many moods, the wily and wicked Jack Frost, an elegant Snow Queen, and the charming and ever-changing Metamorphina.
Blinn College will feature “Snowkus Pocus” for the first time since its debut in New York City last winter, when it was named one of the best winter shows for kids on the blog Mommy Poppins.
“Snowkus Pocus” is produced by Cirque-tacular Entertainment, a premier New York City-based acrobatic and specialty entertainment company. Its work has been enjoyed in more than 70 countries in conjunction with the most recognized brands, venues, and arts organizations in the world.
Prior to the concert, Blinn College will host a reception at 2:30pm in the MRW Studio Theatre.
Individual concert tickets are $30. Tickets are $15 for children ages 10 and under, and groups of 10 or more can buy tickets for $26 apiece. Blinn employees can purchase tickets for $20, and Blinn student rush tickets are $10. Seating is limited, so check availability in advance.
