The Viz-A-Gogo art exhibit is May 3-5 at the Federal Building in Downtown Bryan. Video creations will be screened at the Palace Theatre at 8:30pm Friday and Saturday. While visiting the annual showcase of digital wizardry created by students in Texas A&M's Visualization program at Viz-A-Gogo 19, grab a "clue" as the board game-styled murder mystery unfolds during the deco-era murder mystery-themed art exhibition and video screening.
The art exhibition will be held Thursday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, May 4-5, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Federal Building, next to Village Cafe in Downtown Bryan featuring 60 pieces of artwork including photos, printed digital art, 3D media, sculptures, paintings, video games and other interactive pieces.
You are invited to see the best work created by students in the Department of Visualization and the Department of Performance Studies over the past fall and spring semesters. Be sure to pick up a mystery card to collect clues, solve the simple mystery and enter for a chance to win a special prize.
The video screening will be held Friday and Saturday, May 4-5, at 8:30 p.m. at the Palace Theater, 105 S. Main St. in Downtown Bryan. The screening will feature more than 50 pieces of time-based work from Department of Visualization students. The screening, comprised of 2-D and 3-D animation as well as film and video projects, will appeal to a variety of people of all ages. The same student work will be shown on Friday and Saturday nights, but each night will include a different ending to the murder mystery interstitial videos. Seating is limited so come early to snag a great spot.
