Four free concerts will usher in the warm weather months during the Summer Sunset Series at the Palace Theater in Historic Downtown Bryan. Each Thursday in June will feature high-energy performances from local and regional bands playing from 8-10:30pm in the open-air venue at the corner of Main and 26th St.
Supported in part by local businesses and the Downtown Bryan Association, the concerts fit within the DBA's mission of showcasing Downtown Bryan while supporting the local arts and culture scene.
"We are excited to offer this event to the area," says Sandy Farris, DBA executive director. "Each band will bring something different to the series, and some of them will be returning for Texas Reds in the fall."
Concessions will be available. Due to space restrictions, no coolers will be allowed.
"We encourage people to come downtown early to dine in one of the restaurants before the concert," Farris says. Many of the downtown merchants will offer coupons or specials the day of each concert.
