Kinky Friedman's Southern Discomfort Tour will stop at Village Cafe in Downtown Bryan on February 10. A special meet and greet event before the show will benefit KEOS radio. It’s your chance to get Kinky! Village Cafe in Downtown Bryan will host true Texas original Kinky Friedman as part of his 15-city, Southern Discomfort Tour on Friday, February 10. A chance to get up close and personal with the author, musician, occasional political candidate and self-proclaimed "America's Jewish troubadour" will come during a 6 p.m. meet and greet before the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the show are $30; meet and greet tickets are an additional $25 with proceeds benefitting KEOS 89.1 FM. Meet-and-greet tickets are available only with the purchase of a show ticket.
In addition to his signature line of cigars, at the beginning of this year Friedman announced a new business venture – Man in Black Tequila – and samples of his latest product should be available at the show. According to Friedman’s website, a portion of the profits from Man In Black Tequila will benefit the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch, a no-kill facility in Central Texas that “finds homes for the canine homeless and downtrodden. ”
