Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) has partnered with elementary school students in their service territory to create a fun and educational calendar for the community for over 25 years. Artwork for the calendar will be selected from submissions coordinated by art instructors at area schools, and BTU will also accept individual submissions dropped off at their lobby, mailed in, or submitted online.
The topic for this year’s artwork contest is “Electrical Safety — Do’s and Don’ts.” The designs should focus on how to use electricity safely while avoiding electrical hazards. All artwork should be drawn landscape on a sheet of plain, unlined 8 ½” x 11” paper. The contest is limited to kindergarten through fourth grade students living in and attending school or home school in the BTU service area.
The submission deadline is May 18, and submission forms are available in English and Spanish. For information about submitting artwork, visit btutilities.com/calendar. For any other questions, contact Ken Dupré at kdupre@btutilities.com.
