Saturday, Oct. 3, enjoy two outdoor shows in one small town! Bellville Market Day on the Square and the Farmers Market Under the Pavilion has expanded with more than 85 vendors and a full day of fun. Start your day at 9am at Chesley Park under a beautiful covered pavilion shopping 25+ booths of produce, meats, gulf shrimp, baked goods galore, organic honey, plants and flowers, artisan soaps, beard oils, gifts, and more. Enjoy a family horse-drawn carriage ride, a couple of vintage trucks, funnel cakes, wine-to go at both shows, and more than 10 food trucks to choose from. Bring your friends and sample wine while you enjoy music with KTEX Radio’s Trail Boss Troy and browse 60+ vendor booths and step inside Downtown Bellville’s unique shops. Before lunch, enjoy a performance by Center Stage Dance Studio at 11:45am.
While on the square, you’ll find handcrafted gifts, woodworking, BBQ pits, custom leather, home furnishings, jewelry, several retail favorites, and check out two air-conditioned rolling clothing boutiques for the ladies and children. It’s annual St. Francis Pet Blessing Day on Saturday so bring along your favorite pet or stuffed animal for a blessing. End the day with a free wild west photo booth opportunity. Admission and parking are free. In addition to Bellville’s quaint downtown district it is home to Newman’s Castle, an 1890’s Blacksmith Shop operated by Texas Select Forged in Fire’s Cowboy Szymanski, the 1890s Austin County Jail Museum, the Bellville Meat Market, and several lodging, ranch, and wonderful B&B options located in an area adorned with rolling hills and small town charm.
