City of Bryan Many development projects in Bryan are under construction and will be opening in the near future. This includes a new Family Dollar, Saenz Cleaners, Bryan Animal Clinic, and Ricky’s Neighborhood Market.
As rumors abound to what may or may not be coming to town, many projects in Bryan have been approved by the Site Development Review Committee, but construction has not yet started. These projects include a new C&J’s BBQ location and Chick-fil-A at Rudder Landing shopping center.
Further out on the horizon are projects still in planning stages or submitted to the SDRC for approval. A new building for the Boys and Girls Club, as well as a complete renovation for the Chick-fil-A on Briarcrest, sit on this list.
The potential for more retail and restaurants is wide open. Shopping centers in Bryan offer opportunity for more businesses to open their doors. The Chatham Northview Shopping Retail Center off highway 21 is currently under construction. The SDRC has approved the Colony Park Shopping Center on Boonville Road as well.

The first phase of a regional baseball/softball complex will also be completed in FY20, further encouraging growth in the Midtown area.
Providence Park, located just north of Academy Sports + Outdoors, continues to develop with both businesses and retail locating there. This will be an area of industry and retail development in 2020.
The University Drive corridor will continue seeing additional retail development in 2020. At Chimney Hill, the Republic Steakhouse and Primrose Path are open and Drury Inn & Suites has been announced. Starbucks is under construction and a retail center consisting of approximately 15,000 square feet is expected to be completed summer 2020.
