The 26th Annual Bryan Rotary 10 Business Performance Awards will recognize the top 10 Brazos County businesses. Any successful small business in Brazos County may be nominated that has economic growth, significant economic impact, and achievements within the community.
“One of the Rotary’s fundamental principles is service above self. Bryan Rotary believes there is no shortage of businesses within our community that share the same values,” says Roby Somerford, president of the Bryan Rotary Club.
Bryan Rotary Club established this award ceremony in 1994 in collaboration with the Bryan College Station Chamber of Commerce and the Texas A&M Mays School of Business. Anco Insurance is the financial underwriter of the awards program.
To be eligible for nomination, a business must be an independent, privately held corporation, proprietorship, or partnership that has been in business for at least five years. Franchises are not eligible. The entity must be headquartered in Brazos County with sales of more than $50,000 but less than $25 million in the fiscal year; additionally, its five-year sales history (2013-2018) must show a fiscal increase from 2017 to 2018.
The community can help identify every company that may be eligible for this award. Nominated companies will receive an application to submit their gross sales information. All submissions are confidential and only the percentage of sales growth is published.
Nominations open Feb. 27 and close on March 27 at 5pm. Nomination forms can be done online at www.bryan-rotary.org or for pickup at Bryan College Station Chamber of Commerce and Anco.
Save the date for Wednesday, June 26, at the Bryan Hilton Hotel for the Awards Luncheon when the 10 fastest growing businesses in the Brazos Valley are announced.
