The city of Bryan has signed an agreement to bring a new family entertainment option to Bryan. BigShots Golf™, a tech‐driven entertainment and culinary experience that is majority owned by ClubCorp, will break ground on BigShots Aggieland in April 2020. The 35,000‐square‐foot cutting‐edge golf, dining, and entertainment venue will open in the city of Bryan’s new regional park development, Travis Bryan Midtown Park.
The two‐story BigShots Aggieland, the fourth location nationwide, will include 60 game bays and is expected to open to the public in the spring of 2021. As part of the city of Bryan’s 148‐acre regional park, BigShots Aggieland will be part of a wealth of recreational amenities in the heart of Bryan‐College Station.
Featuring cutting-edge technology that includes a Doppler radar tracking system, BigShots Golf is intended for players of all ages and skill levels. Avid golfers can play full rounds on virtual golf courses all over the world, while novice players, families, and children can take part in interactive games such as Knockout and Pinball (learn more about the technology and games at bigshotsgolf.com).
In addition, the entertainment experience will include private event space; outdoor lounge seating and putting green; an activity center for kids; a golf academy that can be used for year‐round training; and a full restaurant and bar serving innovative menu items, house specialties, signature cocktails, and local craft beer.
“BigShots Golf Aggieland will bring a whole new level of entertainment and dining to Bryan, with visually compelling games for all ages and skill levels to play together in an immersive, fun experience,” says BigShots Golf CEO Tony Wehner.
“The golf entertainment industry continues to rapidly grow in popularity as people discover the magic of golf in a non‐intimidating environment, and BigShots Golf is leading the way with innovative technology, elevated dining, and fun for the whole family.”
Once complete, Bryan’s regional park will be the premier recreational and sports destination in the Brazos Valley. Planned amenities include a large indoor sports and event facility, a 20‐mile perimeter walking trail, a large fishing lake with two piers, upgraded baseball and softball fields, an amphitheater, a grand lawn, many acres of open space, and a greenbelt. Infrastructure work for the project is already under construction, with many of the amenities going out to bid at various points in 2020.
“BigShots Golf will be an exciting addition to the regional park, and we look forward to partnering with them to make Bryan’s regional park a highly sought‐after destination in Aggieland,” says city of Bryan Mayor Andrew Nelson.
