The Bike MS: Texas MS 150, a charity bike ride to raise money to fight multiple sclerosis, is coming to the Brazos Valley May 2 and 3.
In preparation for the ride, event organizers are asking riders and volunteers to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Pebble Creek Country Club in College Station. The meeting will run from 5:30 to 7pm.
If community members are interested in volunteering for this event, they are encouraged to attend this meeting. The Texas MS 150 needs more than 300 volunteers from the Bryan College Station community to help participate in the event. Food and refreshments will be provided, and those who attend the meeting will receive a 20 percent off coupon to Aggieland Outfitters. You can RSVP for the meeting at www.secure.nationalmssociety.org/site/Calendar.
The Bike MS: Texas MS 150 is a two-day bicycle ride through south Texas. Cyclists begin in either Houston, Katy, Waller, or Austin and ride more than 73 miles to the small town of La Grange. On day two, cyclists pick back up in La Grange and travel to College Station, finishing the ride inside of Kyle Field.
All funds raised by the event benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, an association that works to help those affected by MS live their best lives while actively working to eradicate the disease all together.
