On July 11, Bryan Rotary Club will honor the 2018 Bryan Rotary 10 Business Performance Award winners during the club's 25th Annual Bryan Rotary 10 Awards luncheon. Since 1994, Bryan Rotary Club has been celebrating high performing small businesses in the Brazos Valley. Today, Bryan Rotary 10 is the mark of excellence for growing businesses in Brazos County. Bryan Rotary Club, composed of area business and professional men and women, is the principal sponsor of the program, in cooperation with the Bryan College Station Chamber of Commerce and in partnership with the Mays Business School at Texas A&M. The program is generously underwritten by Anco Insurance.
“For 25 years, Bryan Rotary Club has honored business excellence in our community by recognizing the ten fastest growing small businesses in the Brazos Valley," says Steve Bledsoe, 2017-2018 president of Bryan Rotary Club. "We invite community members from across the Brazos Valley to join us in honoring the contributions of area small business leaders. Nominate your favorite local business for this prestigious award and join us for the awards luncheon on July 11."
Research economists at Mays Business School will assess the sales growth of each company and rank them in order to identify the top 10 small businesses that will be honored at the luncheon. “Anco Insurance is honored to help support the Bryan Rotary 10 Awards,” says Kathy Gregory, president of Anco Insurance. “Each year, we look forward to being a part of recognizing the outstanding small businesses in Brazos County. Working with Bryan Rotary and the B/CS Chamber of Commerce is a rewarding experience for our organization.”
Two additional awards will be presented at the July 11 luncheon, including the Bryan Rotary Club/Anco Insurance Award for Lifetime Business Achievement. Introduced in 1998, the Anco Achievement Award is given to a company that has a sustained history of success and respect in their industry and has significantly contributed to the quality of life in our community. Anco Insurance is the underwriter for this prestigious award.
The Research Valley Partnership is also partnering with Bryan Rotary Club to support the growth of new businesses in the Brazos Valley by presenting the first ever Launch Award. Introduced this year, the Research Valley Partnership Launch Award will recognize a new business that is less than six years old and that is contributing to the economic growth of the Research Valley.
The Bryan Rotary Club was chartered in 1921 and is the longest standing Rotary Club in the B/CS community. With more than 100 members, Bryan Rotary Club serves the B/CS community, providing service projects, grants to teachers and nonprofit organizations, hosting International Youth Exchange students, and much more.
