Each year during National Student Employment Week, Texas A&M University celebrates the contributions student employees make to the campus and community. As part of the weeklong celebration, they will name two Student Employee of the Year award recipients — one employed on-campus and one employed in the Bryan College Station community.
Recognize your student employee by nominating them for this award. The Student Employee of the Year nomination form will open on Jan. 4, 2020. Basic nomination criteria is listed below, but for additional details visit jobsforaggies.tamu.edu.
Nomination Criteria:
- Must be a Texas A&M University - College Station student currently working in a student employee capacity.
- Working an average of 12-25 hours per week with their main focus being school.
- May be undergraduate or graduate but not a graduate assistant nor teaching assistant.
- Must have been employed a minimum of six months by Feb. 9, 2020.
- Must be enrolled at least half time (six hours undergraduate, five hours graduate) at Texas A&M - College Station for the spring 2020 term.
- Must be maintaining a 3.0 GPR or above during the semesters that the student is employed (to be calculated by Student Employment Office).
The nomination must be submitted by a supervisor or staff member. Each office may only nominate one student for every 100 student employees in the office (Use your office’s official title including department and area). Only one nomination form per student. All subsequent forms will not be reviewed. You may upload two additional support documents that are each no more than two pages in length until the nomination form closes at 11:59pm on Feb. 9, 2020.
