The Brazos County Archery Club would like to invite the community and beyond to its club on Saturday, Sept. 7, starting at 9am for a very special event. Brazos County Archery Club is hosting the Second Annual Outdoor Association for True Heroes, Inc. Team 3D Archery Shoot. OATH Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit organization that utilizes various outdoors activities centered around faith, family, and community to improve the quality of life of our eligible veterans.
The setup for the event will be a 15-target 3D course with two classes, Open and Hunter. This will be a team shoot. Team members will be chosen at random just like at the Archery Shooter's Association Pro/Am Team Tournament. Proceeds for this event will go to OATH Inc. and its programs benefiting veterans across the country. You do not need to be a veteran to participate in this event.
Brazos County Archery Club is still looking for sponsors and donors for this and other events it holds throughout the year. Any individual or business that may be interested in partnering with them may contact Brazos County Archery Club, a recognized 501c3 nonprofit organization. For more information on how they can do so, visit their website or Facebook page.
Brazos County Archery Club began in 1948 and it is the oldest archery club in Texas. They promote all forms of archery. They host seminars, outside organizations such as 4H, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts as well as monthly public shoots. Members are welcome to shoot on the practice bag target range at their convenience. They host standard 3D archery tournaments in their wooded range each month. Thirty 3D targets are set at varying distances and we use ASA scoring. Practice range bags range from ten yards to 100 yards. Annual memberships are available for individuals and families.
