Earlier this year, the Community Foundation rescheduled its April 28 Tribute Luncheon Celebration sponsored by First Financial Bank to Aug. 27, with the goal of recognizing this year’s honorees: Denise Fries, Tim Bryan, and Sue Lee.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 considerations and community health concerns continue, and the Foundation’s Board has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Tribute Luncheon due to the health and welfare of a community celebration. Canceling this year’s luncheon was not an easy decision, as proceeds from this luncheon serve as an important source of annual funding for the Foundation’s administrative operations.
Tribute Luncheon serves as an annual celebration of philanthropy to honor the ongoing contributions of civic leaders and volunteers for sharing their time, talent, and resources in support of a better quality of life in the Brazos Valley.
Patricia Gerling, Foundation president and CEO notes, “While the Foundation is canceling this year’s luncheon, we are simply just ‘pausing’ our celebration. Denise, Tim, and Sue have all agreed to join us in 2021.” She adds, “Tribute Luncheon is intended to serve as a celebration – and we simply couldn’t celebrate philanthropy without our honorees and the community!”
Tribute Luncheon celebrates the collective impact of individuals who share their time, talents, and resources and their impact on countless charities and nonprofit organizations.
The Community Foundation invites all to save the date of Tuesday, April 27, 2021, as they gather for a community celebration of philanthropy to recognize the giving hearts and contributions of Denise Fries, Tim Bryan, and Sue Lee.
