Commerce National Bank has committed to a three-year $10,000 Top Chef Sponsorship for the College Station ISD Education Foundation’s 50 Men Who Can Cook fundraiser.
This signature fundraising event raises funds for teacher grants, student scholarships, and innovative projects for the district. This year’s event will be held Friday, February 6, 2015, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Brazos County Expo Complex.
“50 Men Who Can Cook has been an outstanding event that just continues to grow in popularity,” says CNB Senior Vice President Mike McBerty. “Commerce National Bank is pleased to have been the Top Chef sponsor for the past six years and is glad to provide much needed support for schools in CSISD to assure the best educational opportunities are available for students."
More than 50 local community and school leaders will be showcasing culinary skills and serving up special recipes including new College Station Police Chief Scott McCollum, Assistant Fire Chief Jon Mies, College Station City Manager Kelly Templin, former NFL players Terrence Murphy and Seth McKinney, TexAg Radio personalities Gabe Bock and Logan Lee, and CSISD Superintendent Clark Ealy.
A new raffle will feature a custom signature piece of jewelry valued at $5,000 designed and generously donated by David Gardner’s Jewelers & Gemologist, and a skeet shoot/personally-cooked dinner for 10 donated by State Representative Kyle Kacal along with a Berelli 12 ga. shotgun partially underwritten by The Great Texas Gun Company.

Tickets will not be sold at the door but can be purchased from any Celebrity Chef, EF Board Member, or at the CSISD Central Office prior to the event. Tickets can also be purchased online at givetokids.csisd.org.
