This Monday, Oct. 19, The REACH Project partnered with the Regents Scholars Program Student Organization, the Brazos County Health District, and Health for All to host a health fair for more than 220 Invisible Aggies and their families. (Invisible Aggies are the contract service employees at Texas A&M University who work in maintenance, food services, grounds, and more.) REACH also partnered with Texas A&M Transportation Services for the use of the Fan Field Parking Lot to ensure a safe environment in which to serve the families attending. As a result, the following was provided:
- 2,000 masks
- 200 Emergency Response & Emergency Document Bags
- 217 First Aid Kits & Dental Hygiene Kits
- 217 Local Banking & Health Care Resource Bags
The REACH Project has also partnered with Aggie Men’s Club and the Brazos Valley Food Bank to continue meal distributions. It is their goal to raise $10,000 to continue to support Invisible Aggies and their families. Those interested in supporting can visit their GoFundMe at gf.me/u/y2cvik.
REACH aims to continue to provide health and wellness resources to Invisible Aggies through the implementation of a Health & Wellness Clinic on the Texas A&M campus. Any individuals or businesses who are interested in helping with this initiative can reach out to Max Gerall via max@txreachproject.org or (832) 622-4718.
