Texas Lions Clubs of District 2S-5 will be holding their inaugural "I Love America" Fall Festival on Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Santa's Wonderland.
The "I Love America" Fall Festival is being hosted for the enjoyment of the public and the benefit of thousands of children who will enjoy the Texas Lions Camp for many years to come. Join the festival for a BBQ Cookoff (IBCA-sanctioned), Classic & Vintage Car Show, TAMU vs. Colorado football game Watch Party, live entertainment, kids activities, and more. All funds raised at this event will directly benefit Texas Lions Camp.
Texas Lions Camp was founded on the principle that every child is deserving of a happy childhood. By inviting children to participate in activities they may have otherwise believed was out of their reach, this camp aims to help them improve their self-esteem and step into their life's calling, while they explore, exercise curiosity, and discover new interests and abilities. Almost every activity at camp requires more than one person to accomplish—the premise being that humans are not meant to be alone in life and can accomplish great things when they work together. Texas Lions Camp has been able to welcome more than 70,000 campers during the summer with the help of events and donations like this one.
If you are interested in being a vendor at this event, email Meredith Childs at childsml@yahoo.com. To register as a volunteer, submit an entry in the BBQ Cookoff, or submit an entry in the Car Show, visit ila-ff.org.
