On April 27, the Prenatal Clinic will pause in its daily mission of ensuring every pregnant mother and unborn baby receive the medical care they need to be healthy to recognize “13 in 13” at the annual You’re the Tops luncheon.

As Lynn Clary Yeager, Prenatal Clinic director says, the annual You’re the Tops luncheon will be a celebration to “recognize women who volunteer and have made a lifelong habit and tradition of volunteering.” Kicking off at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Hotel in College Station, the luncheon fundraiser supports the services provided by the Prenatal Clinic.
When expecting a baby, it is vital for the mother to have appropriate medical care and proper education to be prepared to be healthy mother with a healthy baby. The Prenatal Clinic offers Brazos Valley women access to medical care and education when they lack the financial ability to receive care otherwise.
The clinic sees approximately 800 local patients every year and offers parenting classes, prenatal preventative care and referrals to government financial aid programs. Funding comes from grants, donations from churches and local community organizations. In many cases, the organization simply receives donations “by people who believe in this clinic,” says Yeager. The Kappa Delta sorority at Texas A&M University is the largest single donor.
