On Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11:11 a.m., members of the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets will lay two ceremonial wreaths at the Memorial Student Center and on the Corps Memorial Plaza, location of the Spanish-American War Memorial, the World War I Memorial, and the post-World War II memorial. Members of the Ross Volunteer Company will perform a rifle volley salute and the Corps Bugler will play Taps following the placement of the wreath at the Corps Memorial Plaza.
“For nearly a century and a half, members of the Aggie family, to include many of our former cadets, have committed themselves to serving in our nation’s armed forces. No matter the time or place, Aggie veterans have answered America’s call, and solidified Texas A&M’s legacy of service to our nation,” said Brig. Gen. Patrick Michaelis ‘93, commandant of the Corps of Cadets.
Following this ceremony, 2,200 cadets will march in the Corps’ annual Veterans Review, honoring our nation’s veterans and the sacrifices they have made in defense of our freedom. Cadets will step off from the Quad at 4:30 p.m. and march to Simpson Drill Field to conduct a pass in review.
“Honoring our nation’s veterans, to include those who are also members of the Aggie family, is a profound privilege. The intent for these two displays of remembrance is to honor those who have committed to protecting America, her people and our freedom. We hope that, through the gameday visibility of these two events, we can elevate our veterans and promote their recognition on this special day,” Michaelis said.

- Maj. Gen. Michael E. Martin ‘92, USAF, director of operations, U.S. Special Operations Command
- Brig. Gen. Patrick Michaelis ‘93, USA, (Ret.), commandant of the Corps of Cadets
- Col. Scott Dellinger ‘97, USA, professor of military science
- Col. Brad Tippett ‘95, USMC, professor of naval science
- Col. Kevin Parker ‘96, USAF, professor of aerospace studies
