The RELLIS Academic Alliance is set to host a virtual Transfer Fair on March 3 for students interested in attending classes on campus this fall.
The fair will allow prospective students to explore current bachelor’s degree programs, learn more about available student services, and view a virtual tour of the RELLIS Academic Complex. Transfer Fair attendees will also be eligible to receive one application fee waiver to the regional university partner of their choice.
“The Transfer Fair really allows us to connect with potential students and help them determine if RELLIS is the best fit for them,” says Admissions Coordinator Dalton Jones. “With so many exciting things happening on campus, from new academic programs to a growing student community, meeting this way allows us to really demonstrate everything we have to offer.”
Currently, the ten Texas A&M System regional universities and Stephen F. Austin State University offer a combined 25 bachelor’s degree programs in subjects ranging from criminal justice, social work, and public administration to biology, health sciences, and computer science.
Earlier this year, Academic Alliance Staff and faculty welcomed students to the newly opened, second Texas A&M System academic building. The 48,000 square-foot-building includes classrooms and laboratories incorporating state-of-the-art teaching and technology, as well as faculty offices and spaces for student collaboration. Most notably, the $28 million building provided the needed space for engineering labs and classrooms to facilitate upcoming academic engineering programs, a Learning Resource Center and an auditorium.
“With dedicated areas for welcoming students and fostering relationships, we know this building will continue to allow students to find a home within RELLIS while they pursue one of our highly competitive programs,” said DaNeetra Walker, Manager of Enrollment Services. “We are excited to meet the next group of prospective students at the Transfer Fair and share with them what RELLIS is all about.”
Students participating in the Transfer Fair and applying to the regional university of their choice via ApplyTexas on the day of the Transfer Fair will qualify for the application fee waiver.
