This Saturday, Feb. 5, enjoy over 100 total vendors at two fun markets in downtown Bellville. Parking and admission at both of these pet-friendly shows is free, and there will be horse-drawn wagon rides between the markets and the historical downtown area.
Bellville Market Day on the Square from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. has grown to include Bell Street. There will be several food trucks and booths serving pork sliders, jerk chicken wings, custom burgers and hot sandwiches, homemade sides, and more. There will be Street Corn, tamales, hot kettle corn, funnel cakes, and a wide variety of bakers boasting fresh breads and baked goods to include cake, cookie, and brownie varieties, Mac Daddy’s Italian macarons, Southern Core caramel apples, and more.
There will be music all day with KTEX 106 Radio’s Trail Boss Troy, wine tasting, Valentine-themed activities, free face painting, and a performance at 2 p.m. on the Square by the Center Stage Dance Studio dancers.
Attendees can shop over 75 tented vendors to include three rolling boutiques, three photography booths, furniture, yard art, jewelry, retail favorites, and hand-crafted custom gifts. Meet woodworkers, artisans, and support area fundraisers such as the Boy Scouts and Lions Club.
Located within walking distance, the Fresh Farmers & Artisan Market runs from 9 a.m. to noon under the Jim Bishop Pavilion at Chesley Park. For the farmer's market, guests will want to have the cooler in the car for shopping area growers & ranchers that will have produce, herbs and plants, wine tasting, grass-fed beef, pork and chicken, jams and jellies, hot tea, coffee, and farm eggs. Choose Valentine treats from over 10 booths with fresh baked goods and sweets. There will also be organic local honey, olive oils, flavored vinegars, Indian cuisine, artisan jewelry, embroidery, and fishing lure demonstrations.
