What started as a crazy idea in the Chicken Oil Co. has led to a 40-year legacy of serving the community in what you know and love as Insite Magazine.
As we begin celebrating our 40th anniversary, we decided to take a look back at what has helped us frame our magazine. From going digital to the addition of Insite’s A-List People’s Choice Awards, Insite Magazine has seen changes beyond its inception as a community real estate publication; turn to page 20 to learn more about how our legacy began!
The 2024 Spring Parade of HomesTM is right around the corner! Check out page 25 to learn more about how you can attend the parade on the weekends of April 27-28 and May 4-5.
Springtime often brings with it spring cleaning and more additions to the ever-growing “honey-do” list. In honor of the season, we compiled a variety of stories to get you thinking about ways you can improve your own space. On a budget? Don’t fret — we found cost-effective ways to enhance your current space without breaking the bank (page 66). If you’re seeking home upgrades with real benefits outside of simple cosmetic modifications, flip to page 57 for realistic ways to make your home more eco-friendly.
This issue also features two annual nonprofit events that you don’t want to miss! Turn to page 14 to see this year’s Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley’s Tribute Luncheon honorees who have been chosen because of their outstanding service to our community. We also feature Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center’s 15th annual Power of the Purse event on page 76 which will be a fun night- out event for all!
Of course, we can’t forget our monthly segments! This month, Brazos Reads brings us a Texas A&M University professor and his new horror novel (page 64), while Ask the Experts meets local dads who share tips for mastering practical skills (page 62). We also introduce Brazos Bites, a new monthly segment that will highlight local restaurants and cafes. Our first Brazos Bites featureis Lamar & Niki's Pit Barbecue and Soul Food Cafe; read all about it on page 70!
