Author Ellen McGinty is a College Station native who has been living in Japan for the past seven years. During a brief trip home this summer, she will visit Ringer Library. She will read from her YA fantasy book Saints and Monsters and talk about writing, living in Japan, the power of story, etc. She will bring some display items such as a kimono obi, Japanese manga, and origami bookmarks. There will be a Q&A session. Teens and adults are both welcome.

Hyperbole Bookstore will bring books that can be purchased onsite. Books can be signed at the end of the event.
