Tour homes along the oak shaded streets in College Station’s earliest resident community, the Southside
Historic Neighborhood. Developed in the 1920s with its earliest homes built in 1922 and an additional 20
homes moved from the A&M campus to locations within its borders between 1941-1972, Southside
became the launching point of what we now know as College Station. Guests will be able to tour five
homes of varying architectural styles — American Foursquare, Northern Gothic, Revival Tudor and two
restored cottages — and discover the historical significance of an additional four former campus homes,
each to be highlighted in this year’s tour on Saturday, April 6, from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Proceeds will
go to preserve and promote Southside Historic Neighborhood.
Tickets are $20.00 per person in advance, $25.00 on the day of the event. Student rate $10.00 day of event
