Houston-based Midway, a privately owned, fully integrated real estate investment and development firm, is pleased to announce DKC Group’s newest concept, Juanita’s Tex-Mex Cantina, will open its first location in College Station at Century Square in early 2021. Juanita’s joins a wide variety of dining concepts in the mixed-use destination including Hopdoddy, Porters, Sweet Paris, Piada, Sharetea, Pokeworks, and Mess Waffles.
“We are thrilled to announce such a unique Tex-Mex restaurant coming to Century Square, especially in the heart of the property,” says Robert Williamson, Midway’s senior vice president, Investment Management. “Our patrons have long awaited an authentic Mexican concept, which they will soon be able to enjoy in a relaxed but lively atmosphere including an expanded patio area to enjoy Grooves on The Green or up and coming artists performing on The Front Porch.”
Occupying 4,125 square-feet overlooking The Green and The George Hotel’s courtyard pool, Juanita’s will serve Brazos Valley residents a relaxed dose of fun and an untapped culinary experience with captivating design elements drawn from Mexican locales including Oaxaca, San Cristobal, Morelia, and Puebla. With focuses on unique margarita offerings, aromatic fajita platters, and pit-smoked brisket with mole, Juanita’s plans to honor Mexican culinary heritage and inevitable Texan influences by sharing some of the best Mexican and Tex-Mex food and drink.

Cantu, together with DKC Founder, Don Cristopher, formally managed the world-class Tex-Mex kitchen, Cyclone Anaya’s, with Heritage Restaurant Group before curating the idea for a staple Tex-Mex concept in Bryan College Station.
