There is something refreshing about traveling the rolling hills and valleys of Texas wine country in the spring. Nestled amongst rolling hills and wildflowers in the Southeast Texas countryside, eight unique wineries offer spectacular views and award-winning wines.
The Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail is located between I-45 and U.S. Highway 290 where visitors will find eight unique wineries spread out within a day trip distance in their own backyard. This spring, take advantage of the thriving wine industry in Texas, often overlooked.
Throughout the year, member wineries participate in four very different wine trail events that celebrate the seasons each year.
The Spring Bluebonnet Wine and Cheese Trail is a wonderful way to enjoy the beauty of native Texas wildflowers and the blooming viticulture at some of Texas’ best wineries. This is the namesake event for the Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail.
The Texas Bluebonnet Wine & Cheese Trail begins Saturday, March 21, and is scheduled for three weekends in late March and early April this year. Guests can enjoy a select pairing of two wines and a specially crafted cheese appetizer at each stop.
Ticket holders on this trail will receive a Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail glass upon arrival to their first winery. Participants will also receive a specially selected Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail gift at their sixth stop, while supplies last.
Guests can start at the winery of their choice. Trail tickets are valid for one visit at all of the wineries over the three weekends of the trail regardless of when tickets are purchased. Ticket holders have six days over three weekends to visit all the member wineries.
The official hours for this event are noon to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday for each trail weekend, regardless of the wineries’ individual tasting room hours.
