Travis Fields is embracing the snow and frost of this winter season! Renovations are nearly complete, and it is time for the local community to see the new complex in action.
RCI Sport Management Solutions is hosting a Winter Wonderland at Travis Fields event presented by the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum on Jan. 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. This family friendly event is free to the public and will have fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Guests can try their luck at winter themed activities such as the snowball smash batting practice or by trying to beat some penguin volunteers in a snowball fight. There will also be inflatable fun and an icy obstacle course race.
The fun doesn’t stop there! After completing the winter adventure, guests can stop by Snowflake Lane to participate in engaging activities with local organization representatives. Food trucks and concessions will provide delicious treats to keep the energy and fun going throughout the event.
The Bush Library and Museum will be the presenters of this event and will be present at the event along with other influential organizations in the community. Tracy Paine, the Programs and Events Director for the Bush Library and Museum, has been working with RCI Sport Management Solutions on this partnership and noted that "Baseball was always a huge part of President Bush's life, and he really felt connected to this community. We're proud to support Travis Fields and look forward to seeing its impact for years to come."
In the spirit of getting to know the community, RCI is calling all local organizations to join in the on the Winter Wonderland experience by participating in their Snowflake Lane activity. Snowflake Lane registration for organizations will be open through the end of December. Make sure to sign up on the website to reserve a slot, so your organization can be apart of the winter magic that will be happening in the community.
If you are looking to gain some volunteer experience, come join the Penguin Squad! Engage in leadership and customer service opportunities to help provide an amazing experience for the community. Volunteer registration can be found on the website. There is plenty of opportunities to be a part of.
