Victoria Junkerman and Dustin Myers met at a coffee shop. The next chapter of their lives began during Ring Day at Texas A&M University.
Victoria was able to present Dustin his Aggie Ring, but she says she could tell he was acting pretty nervous. After the ring presentation, Dustin asked Victoria to go on a walk with him.
“We walked and chatted and came across the Century Tree. As we approached the tree I recognized it from our second date,” Victoria says. The couple discussed the legend that those who walk together under the tree are destined to be together forever and decided to walk under it together. “Half way under the tree he gave me a big hug and was visibly shaking. ... He then got down on one knee and asked if I would be willing to spend the rest of my life with him.”
Since they both lived in College Station at the time, it only felt natural to plan their wedding in the same city. Spending time with out-of-town guests in a casual atmosphere without driving all around College Station was a top priority for the Myers. After visiting with Sue and Larry at the Inn at Quarry Ridge, and learning about everything the wedding venue included, they knew this venue was the casual elegance they had been seeking!
The couple wed on May 15. Victoria says the day went beautifully and smoothly. Thanks to the day-of coordination contracted with Epoch Co. for all Inn at Quarry Ridge Marble Package clients, Victoria says she never wondered what was going to happen next, and loved how she could be in the moment with her closest friends and family. Monday morning Victoria and Dustin enjoyed brunch before they jetted off on a three-week honeymoon adventure cruising the British Isles and meandering the streets of Rome.
