Chestnut Ridge Homes is an established 40-year-old, family-run business that focuses on residential construction including speculative, custom, additions and remodeling. It is run by Zeb and Matthew Hood.
The Hood Story In 1976, Barry Hood started Barry K. Hood Construction in Ligonier, Pennsylvania after completing degrees from the Pennsylvania State University and the University of Pittsburgh. Passionate about carpentry and woodworking at an early age, Barry passed along his appreciation of craftsmanship to his sons, who followed him into the family business. At four years old, Zeb was sweeping floors as his father built his sister’s house. Matthew followed suit, as he began working for his father on job sites when he was 11-years-old. Hood Construction, Inc. has since evolved into a multi-state corporation that is run by Zeb and Matthew Hood from College Station.
