United Way of the Brazos Valley announces the release of a Letter of Intent Process, the first step in the upcoming 2018-2020 Community Impact Grant Process (RFP).
“In our commitment to advance Education, Financial Stability, and Health in the Brazos Valley,” says Alison Prince, president and CEO at United Way of the Brazos Valley, “we find, fund, and partner with the most effective local organizations to achieve lasting change on significant community issues. Eligible organizations are invited to complete the Letter of Intent forms for programs that support the community’s five-year goals and strategies.”
These goals include:
- Preparing children, youth, and young adults for career achievement through educational success.
- Empowering individuals and families towards financial stability.
- Maximizing health and well-being across the Brazos Valley.
United Way of the Brazos Valley encourages organizations to consider participating in the process by reviewing the Letter of Intent information listed online at www.uwbv.org. The website includes a link to the portal to complete the Letter of Intent forms. Visitors will be able to access the link to the application system, listed below. The Letter of Intent opens on Oct. 13 and will close on Nov. 13 at 5pm. The link to access the application system is agency.e-cimpact.com/login.aspx?org=46117F
“A Letter of Intent must be submitted (as the first step) in order to be invited to complete an application for our 2018-2020 Community Impact Grant,” says Peggi Goss, vice president community impact at United Way. “Organizations not submitting the letter of intent forms by Nov. 13 will not be eligible to receive an application for a grant in the 2018-2020 grant cycle.”
Community Impact Grants strengthen the community by advancing education, financial stability, and health through programs such as utility payment assistance, trauma-focused counseling, financial literacy education, and medical care for uninsured individuals. Across the Brazos Valley, agencies apply for United Way Community Impact Grants through a formal grant review process every three years. Volunteer panels review agency applications, perform site visits for each program, and make final evaluations regarding impact and recommendations for return on community investment.
