Something old . . .
“The pearls I wore were my grandma’s, and my grandpa gave them to her on their wedding day 57 years ago . . . that was really special.”
Most memorable moment . . .
“ . . . our first dance because I love to dance and we had choreographed it and practiced it a lot . . . it went off perfectly, and it was so much fun.”
Favorite vendor . . .
“Our coordinators made our lives so much easier. I didn’t have to do a thing on our wedding day besides get married.”

Something new . . .
“I handcrafted the ring boxes we used during the ceremony.”
Theme
“I fell in love with the bohemian free-spirited wedding vibe first, and it slowly turned into a celestial wedding, so our whole theme was gold and black with stars.
Vendor
“I loved everything about our wedding day. Having our family and friends there to celebrate, of course, was most important to us. I loved how smooth the night transitioned — a day-of coordinator helps with that.”
“Ultimately, your wedding day is about you and the love of your life. Yes, all the little details are nice, but when it comes to the day of, you’ll not be thinking about all of that and if you are, you won’t be enjoying it.”
Madalyn & CJ McLendon: Feb. 13, 2021
Something new . . .
“[My] cowboy boots were covered in rhinestones and were given to me by my parents for my birthday to wear to the wedding. They were awesome. I love all the photos of them.”
Most memorable moment . . .
“[Our wedding] was the weekend of the crazy freeze. We’ll never forget it. We say hell froze over the weekend we got married.”
Venue
“The one thing CJ and I really wanted was to have a really big dance floor. … We just love two-stepping. When we went to A&M, we’d always go to Harry’s and dance. That was our one request, and the Weinberg definitely filled that. There was plenty of space, and the Drywater Band was awesome.”
Something borrowed . . .
" . . . was my cousin’s veil . . . she said she would love for me to borrow it since it was so beautiful and felt like she only got to wear it for such a short period of time during her wedding. It was a really pretty two-layer cathedral veil with sparkles in it, so it ended up matching my dress and cowboy boots perfectly."
Cassidy & Zac Lofton: Jan. 2, 2021
Something blue . . .
“ . . . pearl-drop earrings that had light blue stones… I loved the color and I felt that my dress, overall, had a snow feel and I thought the icy blue was a pretty touch.”
Centerpiece Theme
“We both love to read and the first thing we really bonded over when we met in high school was Les Miserables . . . the other books on the table have special meanings in our relationship as some of them are my favorite books and some are his.”
Venue
“We loved 7F Lodge because they have these all-inclusive packages and included all of our vendors, which took a lot of the decisions off the table for me and helped me not get too wrapped up in the little things.”
Something old . . .
“. . . a family pearl ring that belonged to my father’s mom . . . my sister had worn it on her wedding day, and my mom had worn it on hers, so it’s family tradition.”
Katelyn & Austin Bridges: Nov. 22, 2020
Favorite vendor . . .
“ . . . our photographer and our videographer. My husband is very photo shy, especially around new people, but they both made both of us feel so comfortable and they told us exactly what to do.”
Advice
“My advice to future brides would be to not worry about other people's opinions and to just do whatever you and your husband want. Also, try to make the most of the day because of how fast it goes.”
Favorite moment . . .
“ . . . walking down the aisle and seeing Austin, it was just his reaction. I'm so thankful that we were able to capture that moment. . . . out of all the pictures, those are the pictures I look back at most.”
