In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. Our vision is to put success within reach for our Club members and keep them on track to graduate from high school. We help them realize a positive plan for the future that includes good character, citizenship, and a healthy lifestyle.
None of our work would be possible without the vision of our founders, Mary Ann Parker, and the commitment of our dedicated Board of Directors, Committee Members, our dedicated staff, and our more than 800 corporate and individual volunteers. A private, nonprofit organization, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley relies on private, corporate, individual and grant funding to fill the gap between membership dues of just $15.00 per child per school year and our operational expenses.
