Planet Fitness Bryan, located at 1673 Briarcrest Dr., is reopening its doors after upgrading the facility and outfitting the club with new cardio equipment and more. The club celebrated the renovation on Wednesday, Sept. 4, with attendance from the Bryan College Station Chamber of Commerce, a $2,500 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of the Brazos Valley, and a ribbon cutting.
The donation is part of the company’s national philanthropic initiative, The Judgement Free Generation®, which aims to spread kindness and end bullying faced by youth today. Bullying has become all too common, with one in four youth reporting having experienced bullying and parents of school-aged children citing it as their number one concern. As the home of the Judgement Free Zone®, Planet Fitness is addressing this issue and has funded trainings for more than 7,600 staff from 700 Boys & Girls Clubs across the country through a partnership with the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. To date, Planet Fitness has contributed more than $4 million in support of the cause.
“We strive to create a space where everyone feels accepted and respected, which is why we’re donating to the Boys & Girls Club of the Brazos Valley to help maintain our community’s positive environment,” says Scott Lyons, regional director of United PF Partners, a leading Planet Fitness Franchisee Group that currently operates more than 150 locations across 14 states. “We take pride in offering the Bryan community a clean, comfortable facility with high-quality, brand-name cardio and strength equipment, where a lasting, active lifestyle can be built.”
Upgrades within the revamped Bryan location provide members access to state-of-the-art cardio equipment, including stair climbers and rowing machines. Additionally, members can take advantage of a free weighted leg press and more. Planet Fitness Bryan is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The PF Black Card® membership, which is $22.99 a month, includes additional amenities such as the ability to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all 1,800+ Planet Fitness locations, as well as access to massage beds and chairs and tanning, among other benefits*.
