As part of their mission to care for the whole person while creating healthier communities, CHI St. Joseph Health has released their new Send Kindness Card Generator, a way for people to share their love and support with patients and staff members in the health system’s Regional and College Station hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Family and friends of CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital and College Station Hospital patients and employees have a choice of customizable cards on www.CHIStJoseph.org/SendKindness. After filling out the recipient’s information and adding a personalized message, these cards are printed out and delivered.
The health system’s visitor policies have changed recently to limit the virus’s potential to spread, meaning there is less physical interaction possible between people. While this change allows facilities to keep patients and staff safer during the pandemic, the Send Kindness Card Generator is a way to show some much needed human kindness in this time of social isolation. CHI St. Joseph Health is encouraging everyone to take part and spread joy as we work to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Particularly due to the dedication of the area’s healthcare workers, the health system is also encouraging messages to the hospitals’ staff as a whole. The system is inviting anyone who has received exemplary care from any of their hospitals or departments to send a card with their support, galvanizing their team as they bring hope and healing to the Brazos Valley region.
